About Etta
Hi there! I’m Dr. Gantt, but you can just call me Etta. I love supervising and training counseling interns and LPCAs.. My approach is centered on getting to know you and your goals so I can support you in becoming an authentic, effective, and ethical counselor. In supervision, I prioritize creating a strong, genuine relationship while also offering guidance, education, and skill-building in areas where you may want to grow or feel less confident. I closely attend to ethics, professionalism, and best practices, and I support clinicians in navigating systems effectively while preventing burnout.
I bring experience working with clients of all ages across a variety of settings, including juvenile court and detention centers, adult incarceration settings, non-profits, and private practice. Across these settings, I have learned the importance of trauma-informed, relationship-focused counseling. I understand the value of working within your setting and system to best advocate for and support clients, while also helping you avoid burnout.
My clinical passion and expertise include trauma recovery and EMDR, Child-Centered Play Therapy, wellness development, and working with clients struggling with OCD. I offer individual, triadic, and weekly group supervision. If this feels like a good fit, please reach out! Check out my CV below if you want to learn more about my experience, training, and expertise.
